Switzerland Announces CHF29 Million Emergency Support for Yemen

On 4 November, Switzerland’s Federal Council announced CHF29 million in additional emergency assistance for Yemen within a CHF40 million package covering Yemen and Ethiopia. The funding will support emergency medical treatment, healthcare systems, humanitarian relief, protection and accommodation for displaced people. Switzerland also requested a supplementary CHF20 million credit from Parliament for the wider package. The announcement creates opportunities for humanitarian organisations and development partners.
